A Community Promise is a non-profit organization located in Haughton, Louisiana, and our mission is to break down societal barriers to postsecondary education opportunities by providing cultural and educational awareness, support, resources, and advocacy for youth in underserved, under-privileged communities in Northwestern Louisiana.

Our annual African American History Month Parade and Celebration will take place February 16-19, 2023, in Haughton, Louisiana. This event has been held for the past 10 years as a way to promote and celebrate cultural diversity as well as an event to generate funds for A Community Way’s scholarship program. Our goal is to raise $48,650.00 dollars that will be used to host the event and to fund 10 scholarships to be awarded to eligible high school Seniors who have been accepted into postsecondary education programs for the 2023-2024 academic school year. In order to meet this goal, we are asking for sponsorships from businesses and individuals such as yourself.

That is why I am writing you today. Would you consider becoming one of our sponsors? By giving to this annual event, you will be supporting A Community Promise and helping us provide educational assistance to those youth in our community who need an extra hand to reach their academic dreams. Your donation will be recognized at our event in several ways. As a sponsor, your name will be placed on all materials and banners that publicize the event as well as announced verbally at the event itself.
